Gas Technology Products Announces the Sale of a LO-CAT® System to Acque del Chiampo S.p.a. for Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide from a WWTP.

Schaumburg, Ill., June 2007—The Gas Technology Products division of Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services is currently designing an air treatment system for Acque del Chiampo, S.p.a., to be installed at their Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) located in Arzignano, Italy.

The air treatment system will process an air stream that contains H2S due to the WWTP processing wastewater from local tanneries. The required sulfur removal capacity is 0.75 TPD and will be achieved with the LO-CAT® Hydrogen Sulfide Oxidation Process. The LO-CAT unit will reduce the H2S levels to less than 2.2 ppmv.
