Sale of a LO-CAT® Hydrogen Sulfide Oxidation Unit to Ferus Gas Industries

Gas Technology Products announces the sale of a LO-CAT® hydrogen sulfide oxidation unit to Ferus Gas Industries for purification of commercial grade CO2.

Ferus Gas Industries Inc. (Ferus), Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Gas Technology Products (GTP), Schaumburg, IL, USA, announces the purchase of GTP’s LO-CAT technology to remove 0.13 LTPD of H2S from a CO2 plant producing commercial grade liquid CO2. This plant is owned by Ferus, and is located in southern Alberta, Canada.

Ferus liquefies and markets N2 and CO2 for industrial uses throughout Alberta. Ferus selected GTP’s
LO-CAT sulfur removal technology because of GTP’s experience in CO2 purification by H2S removal, low operating cost, and good operating reliability.

The plant is currently under design and construction. Commissioning for the plant is expected to begin in May, 2004.
