Ignacio C. Bincaz Appointed Product Manager for Two Cobalt Catalyst Product Lines at Gas Technology Products

Schaumburg, Ill., March 2007—Two cobalt catalyst product lines will be the engineering focus of newly appointed product manager Ignacio C. Bincaz. This new position was recently announced by Gas Technology Products (GTP), a division of Merichem Chemical and Refinery Services LLC.

In addition to the cobalt catalyst product lines, Mr. Bincaz will be responsible for new product development, as well as sales and marketing for these products.  Mr. Bincaz will work with GTP’s Sales and Marketing team on H2S solutions, particularly on The Eliminator and Sulfur-Rite scavengers. Mr. Bincaz brings over 10 years of experience in a wide range of functions including process operation, technical services, sales, and marketing with specific emphasis on the worldwide application of sulfur removal strategies.

Most recently Mr. Bincaz was Senior Technical Services Engineer for Merichem Chemicals and Refinery Services LLC where he was responsible for commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting for Merichem licensed units in client locations worldwide. He led the development of one of the cobalt catalyst product lines he manages, including vendor selection, economical analysis, pricing, industrial impregnation trial, and start-up and performance testing of the first commercial unit.

He holds two degrees from the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, as a Diploma in Chemical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
