Sweeten Gas Streams and SaveInstead of absorbing H2S, the Sulfur-Rite® system chemically changes H2S into a safe and stable compound: iron pyrite. Sour gas fed into an inlet travels downward through the vessel containing the Sulfur-Rite® media. The H2S reacts with the iron-based media to form iron pyrite. Each batch removes three to five times more H2S than iron sponge systems, resulting in longer media life. In addition, spent media can be sent to any landfill, reducing handling costs. The media is non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-pyrophoric, and environmentally safe in both unreacted and reacted forms. The system does not produce any toxic or corrosive by-products or side reactions when processing sour gas.
Low (Or No) Capital CostsPackaged Sulfur-Rite® systems meet the needs of most facilities and can be purchased or leased. Custom design is also available. A Sulfur-Rite® system has no moving parts and no air emissions. System hardware consists of only one or two vertical vessels, and piping. Complete service packages include 24-hour technical support and consultations throughout the order and installation process. Depending on the installation location, media changeout and disposal services are also available. |
